After nearly 32 years Raymont along with his wife Brenda heard the call to return home to Alliance Ohio, where they grew up.  It was in their heart to go back to their home town to add value to the community they grew up in.  They transferred Family Empowerment Ministries Inc. (FEMI) to Alliance and started a church Spirit of Faith Christian Center of Ohio (SOFCCOH) in August of 2014.  SOFCCOH is a non-denominational church with a focus on faith, family and fellowship.

Raymont's mission in life is to inspire, empower and equip people to walk in their God given purpose. 

​

Raymont, is a dynamic motivational teacher and speaker with an extensive leadership, management and educational background.  He has spent over 35 years as a manager and leader in both the corporate arena and in the United States Air Force where he spent nearly 25 years before retiring in 2007. He is an active member of the community where he sits on several boards.

​

President and founder, Family Empowerment Ministries Inc (FEMI) a Federally recognized 501c3 organization – who's mission is to unite and strengthen families, through their many outreach programs.

Raymont holds a Master’s of Science degree in Organizational Leadership; a Master of Arts in Christian Counseling, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management

​

Raymont is an active member of the community where he serves on a number of boards: Alliance Habitat for Humanity, Stark County Job and Family Services Committee, Stark County Minority Business Association (SCMBA), Mens Challenge of Alliance, past member Alliance YMCA and Alliance Kiwanis International.

Brenda K. Johnson

 

Brenda, a licensed minister, is a dynamic teacher in her own right.  This anointed woman of God understands the heart and needs of women.  Married, single, young and old alike.  Her style of delivery makes it easy to understand and apply the Word to your life.  She is a gifted vocalist who ministers to the hearts of people as she sings.  

Brenda holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Howard University in Washington DC.; a certificate in Ministerial Studies from Spirit of Faith Bible Institute, Temple Hills MD; and a  Associate’s Degree from Prince George's County Community College, Largo MD. 

​

Raymont and his wife Brenda operate several unique outreach programs through FEMI:

  *   Sing for Your Supper youth group – teaching youth to cook and sing
  *   Soul Food Sunday free hot meal program
  *   The Alliance High School, Alliance Middle School and Parkway Elementary School Lunch with a Leader youth and young adult mentoring program
  *   Diaper Days Extreme, infant mortality education and free diaper program
  *   Marriage Matters, a quarterly relationship building seminar for married and engaged couples

  *   classy girls mentoring program
 

Raymont is the recipient of the University of Mount Unions 2019 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Community Service award and he and Brenda were recognized by the  Alliance Ohio School District in 2019 with the Pathfinder Award for Humanitarianism.

In addition they can be heard weekly on their radio program Family Matters with Raymont and Brenda Johnson which airs every Sunday morning at 730 am and noon on 91.1 fm the University of Mount Union radio station and they can be seen monthly on SPECTRUM Cable Channel 1022 on their television show Family Matters with Raymont and Brenda Johnson hosted by Kyle Schwarz.  Raymont can also be seen monthly on Ask the Pastor a live question and answer program on the TCT network.
 

Raymont and  Brenda have been married for 40 years, they have 5 children and 10 grandchildren
